We arrived safely in Bissau on the 13th February 2004. We went through customs and we were not charged and we returned on Wednesday the 25th of February 2004.
We have a seven days outreaches in two towns "Plack one" and "Plack two" we were intended to do nine days of outreaches but there was two days of public holidays which people were seem to be very busy in making masquerades in the street.
We showed the J film in Creole in all of the seven days; about four thousand (4,000) people watch the J film, some for the first time. Among the viewers were those that Africa traditional religion. Some people were weeping at the scene of the crucifixion. In spite of the high rate of idol worship in these places about five hundred soul indicated of accepting J.
We distributed five hundred and eighty (580) audiotapes in Balanta Mane, Balanta Naga, Mansanca, Manjaco Curr, Papel Safim and Fula and forty (40) commercial players. We gave three hundred audiotapes and five commercial players to the two pastors to continue distributions during their follow up.
We met with one of the imams in Plack 2 during our distributions. He is a Mandinka but we left all the Mandinka tapes in the Gambia, we gave him audio tapes "Words of Life" in Creole and he asked us to pray for him. We pray that God will germinate that seed.
We also met with a woman that told us that her child has been sick continuously and she is tried to go to the witch doctors. She said she is happy that we came and is going to try J. We prayed for her and by the time we were leaving Bissau the child was doing fine. We pray that God will heal the child completely.
