Several years ago, a young man from Cameroon in West Africa joined Gospel Recordings to become a recordist. His name was Godswill! This seemed an unusual name to us at first, but the more we got used to it, the more it seemed to be a good thing to have a name that was a constant reminder that doing God's will is what really matters.
Over the last few years, Godswill has been a faithful and diligent recordist, often working alone in Cameroon, tracking minority languages and making recordings of the Gospel for many people groups.
Things should change for Godswill this year as he will be joined by about six other West African recordists. They will travel to Cameroon to begin a special recording project to target 80 priority languages in which the plan of salvation has never been communicated.
Providing the Gospel for 80 more groups is the next phase in ensuring that the light of the Gospel shines among every people of this nation. Although we have recorded the Gospel in over 180 languages, 153 languages have NO recordings and NO other Christian material or witness. We are thrilled to have a small part in what God is doing to make His Son known in these last days to the peoples of Cameroon.
