Electricity is something that you and I expect to have available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A blackout is considered a great inconvenience.
Ray received a phone call from our folk in Nigeria. Since they returned from their training course in Ghana our trainees have had electricity five times, for less than one hour each time! In the countries where some of our recordists work the electricity is totally unreliable. Ordinary people and businesses have to buy their own generators if they want reliable power. Our folk in Nigeria hope to get several new languages recorded this month. When they return to the office they need electricity to do all the editing and programming of the new recordings. Please pray with us that we will be able to supply these centres with generators like this one bought recently for the team in Sierra Leone.
