Extract from a recent newsletter by Pat, a missionary in Vietnam.
The Bible tells us to go into all the nations and preach the gospel. Being able to share the gospel in Vietnam as a restricted nation brings its challenges. Building relationships with those who do not yet know Jesus can be a bit awkward, but through friendship evangelism the opportunities are limitless.
Last newsletter we talked about Hong who is working with the K minority people group in the mountains. Since then Hong has been to visit the group and gave them the wind-up cassette players we gave him. Three separate groups are benefiting from the players.
They are still meeting in the forest to avoid arrest and detention. Just before we returned to Australia to complete our home leave, Hong told us that one group was busted by the local authorities; they took their Bibles but did not take the players. Therefore they are still able to listen to the teaching and music that Hong has produced on cassette.
These K people are being blessed by the church in Australia. God always fulfills his plan!
