Testimonials

In PlayBack you usually find excerpts of letters from people who have used the recordings. But you might like to know how we get these reports. Often we ask for them, because we want to know that the gifts God gave us are being used and bearing fruit.

We even ask people who want the tapes - especially new contacts overseas - to complete a little form to assure us they will use the materials as they're intended, to tell the Story of Jesus.

This time we are going to quote some of these forms and letters from people asking for recordings (on the left side of the page) and then show what the same people wrote after they received the cassettes (on the right).

I am a student hoping to use your items in evangelizing those who cannot read. I am also willing to duplicate your cassettes ... if the Lord continues to bless me so I can buy a machine to do this. Thank you very much for the Gospel material you sent. I have distributed them to people and they become very happy to get the cassettes because they help to know the Words of the Lord.

I'm a boy aged 17 and I am requesting some of your Gospel tapes. My hobbies are reading the Bible, going to church and listening to the Word of God. Thank you for the 32 cassettes you sent me. I am a taxi driver and I usually play the tapes for my passengers. I give some of the tapes to those who are interested in listening more to the Good News. Please assist me with a cassette player and master tapes if possible.

I am applying for Gospel cassettes from your company in order to spread the Good News about our Savior. I will only give them to people who have cassette players but cannot read and are likely to listen to them. I would like to thank you for the cassettes you sent me. I got them with no problems at all. The message I got from your cassettes made my thoughts be close to God. A lot of people who listened have changed their attitudes towards God.

This missive requests some of your audio tapes. I am a brother who recently believed in Christ, and I hope these tapes will help in my spiritual growth.

There are some other people in my area who are in desperate need of salvation, but the main obstacle is that they do not understand the languages which a lot of church organizations use.

I promise to give or share anything you send me with the people in my area.

First, I thank the Almighty for the chance write you. I took the tapes from you to the rural area near my home.

The people there were deep in their folk traditions. It wasn't easy for people to accept Christ, but with the power of the Holy Spirit the tapes bore much fruit.

There is still much hunger for the Gospel. Please send more of the tapes. I am praising God that He made me an instrument to reach some of the needy ones.

We receive some great letters from our "customers" at Gospel Recordings! Not only do they thank us for doing our part in spreading God's Word ... They also introduce us to the Godly and gifted people who cooperate in this ministry of audio evangelism. Here is one example.

I greet you in the victorious Name of Jesus!

Our God is on the throne and He has all power. His eyes are on you and me to do us good. His love is toward you to shelter you and I and to ever keep us in His loving arms.

God's great love sent His Son into this sinful world to make provision for each to be saved, healed and delivered from the powers of the enemy.

I thank you for the tapes which you sent to me. They are self-explanatory and everyone can hear the Gospel in simple, blessed words. These tapes are being used for people who cannot read or write and many of the blind and elderly.

About 80 souls reported receiving Christ after they heard the tapes. I hope you can send more because many here are hungry for the Lord's deliverance.

"Have you seen God's power? ... Really seen it?"

(Related by SIM missionaries Jon and Barbara Geddes in southern Ethiopia)

We were prayerfully looking for Kashai - the first believer from the Mursi tribe - to return from a visit to the Chai people on the other side of the Omo River. After several months, Jon came across Kashai on the way home, and he was bursting with excitement.

Previously, Kashai had left some cassettes and a hand wind player with a paraplegic man having nothing to do but sit and play the tapes. Finally the man and his family made commitments to Christ and then waited a whole year for Kashai to return and tell them more.

Kashai was stunned by what God had prepared before him and how God worked in people's lives as they gathered to hear from him. He asked Jon, "Have you seen God's power? ... Really seen it?" He told of amazing things God did through him, things that he had never even imagined.

The initial recording of Mursi was done at GRN Australia by Olisarali, who was brought to Australia to learn English and assist in Bible translation. Those teaching tapes, accompanying picture books and the hand wind players are now being well used among this people group.

KASHAI, THE NATIVE EVANGELIST, IS PICTURED AT LEFT ABOVE, AND OLISARALI, WHOSE VOICE WAS USED ON THE MURSI RECORDINGS, IS AT RIGHT.
