Telling the story of Jesus in every language

Q&A: Are there other missions like GRN?

That's a Good Question! - by Allan Starling

Gospel Recordings is unique. The Bible likens the Church to a body with many parts. One part cannot claim to be more important than another. At the same time, each part has a specific function. It's the same with missions. They perform a whole spectrum of functions. GRN has a unique part to play. Our role is different, but just as important as that of others.

What makes GRN unique? I believe our vision to put the Gospel in EVERY language and dialect on earth is unique. Our goal is to give representatives from every people group an opportunity to hear the Good News in their own languages. Due to the high rates of illiteracy we put the message on audio recordings.

Other important ministries put Bible translations on cassettes, but we major on evangelism and basic Christian teaching. We praise God that nearly 6000 groups have already received recordings of the Gospel in their very own language. That number grows weekly as recordists visit isolated towns and villages seeking people who speak different languages.

Another way GR is unique is our priority audience. The first people on our list are often the last on other's lists. We search for the small groups -- those with no Bible, no mission, no church and no evangelical witness in their own language. We want them to hear the Words of Life too.
