We continue to endure what has easily been our coldest winter since arriving in Russia-a winter where minus 12 Fahrenheit is considered warm. In spite of the cold, Aideen, a brother from the mountaineous Altai region, visited us recently in Krasnoyarsk to finish editing the 20 hours of recordings made in his Altai language. We spent many hours on the computer.
We also recorded a Russian version of the Good News (40 short stories from Genesis to Revelation). We adapted this program to suit the Shamanistic peoples throughout Siberia. It is desperately needed as many native people in certain regions have become more comfortable speaking Russian than their own language.
Aideen has been an answer to our prayers. He has the ideal voice for recording, and is a musician, storyteller and artist. More importantly, he is a humble, willing servant of the Lord with a passionate heart for his people throughout Siberia. Aideen was with us for almost two weeks. The Lord gave opportunity for him to share in three different churches. This was a ground breaking event each time because most Russian churches have never heard from a native Siberian believer. He was received with open arms and hearts.
We were very encouraged by all the recording work that was done. Now that all of the editing is complete, we need to duplicate several thousand cds/dvds for distribution in time for Easter. Judging by recent oppressive dreams, it appears that we are entering a battle. Pray with us that all of the recordings would be used mightily by the Lord. Pray too for Aideen and the Altai people - and the fulfillment of our vision to help every Siberian nation hear the Truth of Jesus in their language.
