"Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name." (Rom 1:5 NLT)
These words were particularly true of the apostle Paul but they are also true of all those who God commissions as his ambassadors and witnesses. As I understand the Bible, that means all of us! We are all 'sent' (apostles) to "Jerusalem, Judea Samaria and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8), to "make disciples of all nations" (Matt 28:18).
It is certainly true of GRN. We have the wonderful privilege and indeed the authority to tell people everywhere what God has done for them so that they will believe and obey him and bring glory to his name.
And it is by the prayers of God's people that progress is made in this great task.
During the last month colleagues have been establishing contact with a tribe in Siberia where there are no known believers. Work is under way to provide them with recordings in their own language that will tell them the Good News of Jesus. We are looking forward to when they too will "believe and obey and bring glory to the name of Christ.
There are many tribes in the world who have no Scriptures, no church and few or no believers. There is much still to do.
Thank you again for standing with us in prayer.
