Telling the story of Jesus in every language

Ministry Update: GRN Around the World

NEW SABER MP3 PLAYER IS NOW AVAILABLE!

We are excited that the Saber mp3 player is now available from GRN offices. The player is designed for frontier missions use. It is robust enough to withstand hot and humid tropics or dry and dusty deserts. The high volume output makes it perfect for large groups of people in village meetings, churches, hospitals and schools. A built-in handwind generator to recharge the batteries means continual power is always available. GRN audio programs can be downloaded from the Internet and then loaded into the machine. Other programs can be loaded into it also. It's simple. It can be used to teach the Bible, play music, tell stories, or teach about health, hygiene, AIDS or whatever is needed. Contact our office for ordering details and pricing.

LIBERIA

There are just over four million people living in Liberia. They speak 53 distinct languages and dialects. Only one in three people can read. All of this makes GRN's audio materials a very useful resource in making Christ known. Our teams have recorded Bible stories and teachings in 90% of the languages. Of course, the gospel in every language of Liberia is our goal!

KOSOVA

Kenny McKee from GRN UK recently traveled to Kosova to record the Goran language. He met and recorded with a new Goran believer, Mukim, who has a desire to reach his people with the gospel. Most of the 50,000 Goran speakers are nominal Muslim and live in 28 villages along the Albania/Kosova border. Kenny says, "It was a thrill to record in this language for the first time. We now have new recordings on cassettes and CDs ready for distribution in October."

THREE TRAINING COURSES

We are encouraged that, in answer to prayer, three recordist training courses are being held in Colombia, India and Thailand in the next few months. About 24 trainees will receive training either as recordists or as research/line up team members. This is the largest number of people we have trained in a six-month period for many years and a big boost to our 10K Challenge initiative.
