Celebrating 25 years

In 2001, the then Director of GRN in South West Asia wrote in his annual report, "Politically the country has continued to be a minefield. Increased religious extremism, sectarian killings and violence, terrorism, lawlessness and general uncertainty have eaten into the fabric of our society. The effects of September 11, 2001 and its aftermath raised the level of concern for minorities and in a few scattered incidents, Christians have become the victims of ruthless killers..."

Since then things have not improved, and may even be worse.

This month, GRN in SW Asia, celebrates 25 years of work and witness! It has not been easy, but the recorded Word, and the Spirit of God, are still bringing salvation to people in this sensitive country.

Thank God for 5 years

Samson and Rita have been with GR in Asia for 5 years. He works as an office assistant. He writes, "I am learning about the urgency of the people groups who need the Lord. I thank God that I'm part of this team where every morning we pray for the people groups.

"We have 4 children, (aged 13, 10, 7 and a new baby). We live in a rented house and the condition is not very good. The power goes off many times; there is no ventilation other than the door. There is very little water at home. We are praying for a house of our own. My bed-ridden mother lives with us. ... I really need your prayers ...
