Rev Makumbe writes to Good News Media
We had a successful mission trip to Blantyre in Malawi. The Good News Media packages were well received and highly appreciated. The welcome was thunderous as I demonstrated the use of the materials.
Malawi continues to be a land of ministry opportunities, but is extremely poor. This poses a serious challenge to the church.
The GNM materials became an instant hit with the locals. They passionately pleaded for more sets. My personal assessment of the Malawi situation is that the material is desperately needed. If anything can be done, please do all in your power to continue helping. The need will easily exceed a hundred sets
The church runs the risk of non-Biblical preaching, because so many of the pastors are illiterate and they can easily become victims of false teachings. These teachings have also made inroads into Mozambique; hence the need for the SENA sets.
I have been in Malawi on a few mission trips and have first-hand exposure to the work that Pastor Chisenga and his fellow workers are doing. I was asked to go back to Malawi and visit the central region of the country.
Once again thanks for partnering with us in this noble cause of propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The reward for this is eternal but the lives being touched are here and now. We are eternally grateful for your support. Please keep up the good work!
