Kenya News

Much turmoil and uncertainty has surrounded Kenya in recent weeks. The GRN workers have been spared the worst of the unrest. Recording and basic ministry has continued on a limited extent, due to the violence that has hit the country. Travel has been restricted outside of Nairobi. The Director, Winston Omenya and his wife, Judith, both lost an elderly parent during this time. Winston was not able to attend his mother's funeral due to the violence where she lived. The situation has since improved, enabling limited travel outside of Nairobi.

Praise God that Winston received his visa to come to Canada from April 2nd - 28th. Meetings are being planned for Winston and he will be the main speaker at our annual banquet in Hamilton, Ontario, on Saturday, April 5th.

We praise God for the donations given towards the printing of the Look, Listen & Live booklets in Kenya. Winston has already made preparations for the printing of three of the booklets. The entire series will be printed. We are thankful for all who have given and prayed for this project.

New Missionary

We welcome Ruth Elliott as the newest member to join GRN Canada. She will be going to Australia to serve as Audio Studio Administrator. Her job will continue what she started during her three-month exposure trip last fall. Ruth is starting to raise her financial support which will enable her to begin the ministry God has called her to. If you would like to learn more about her ministry, do contact our office. GRN Canada Projects

GRN Canada is planning to support the ministry in Kenya, India, Togo, and the Americas through giving to the 10K Challenge fund in 2008. Consider ways in which you or your church can make the Gospel available in another country. As your summer plans are being made, consider the 10K Challenge as your church's summer VBS project. Please contact our office if you would like further information on specific needs in any of the above GRN ministries.
