From the GRN Australia Director - November 2007
We know the story very well! When Jesus visited the home of Mary and Martha, Martha was busy with the food preparations and Mary sat at the feet of Jesus.
Jesus' words, as translated in the New Living Translation, came with renewed force to me. (Luke 10:41-42)
"But the Lord said to her, "My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her."
There is only one thing worth being concerned about! And what is that one thing? It is sitting at the feet of Jesus.
Yes, meals need to be prepared and other things do need to be attended to, but when these other activities prevent us from sitting at the feet of Jesus then it's time to re-adjust our priorities! Even in the work of mission, it is easy to get focussed on the work and forget the Lord who we are aiming to honour in our work.
In your prayers for the staff and ministry of GRN, please do pray that we won't be so focussed on the work that we fail to focus on the Lord. Pray that God will be honoured in our LIVES as well as through our ministries.
Thank you for standing with us in this ministry.
Yours in His service,
Graydon
