3 December - 31 December, 2012.
An authentic, practical and life changing experience.
Join us on a trip that will open your eyes to the joys and trials of cross cultural ministry, Bible translation and how story-telling plays a critical role in world missions.
Experience some of what God is doing in Papua New Guinea - the most linguistically diverse nation in the world!
Who is it for?
HEADS UP is for young adults considering working long term in missions, who want to experience something of what it's really like before committing themselves long term.
It's a serious investment by GRN in providing you with the most authentic, practical and life changing experience we can possibly put together.
It's about you seeking God's will for your life, and us giving you a taste of the joy and privilege of bringing the good news to the least reached people groups of the world.
What makes it unique?
This is not just an experience for you, but a real project producing evangelistic materials with mother tongue speakers in one of the most remote regions of the world.
You will be inspired as you work with experienced GRN recordists and Papua New Guinean Christians. Hear their stories! Pick their brains! Learn from their experiences! Ask about their trials and their joys!
You will be enlightened as you live in a local village where you'll have the opportunity to develop some very unique bonds and participate in daily village life.
You will grow through personal involvement. Our goal is that you will feel that you did it! A people group now has evangelistic materials because you came.
The power of storytelling
The mission includes Module 1 of the GRN Recordist training program. This is a practical program where you will learn the basics of how to record and edit evangelistic materials with mother tongue speakers. It's hands on, at the teams pace and designed to broaden your understanding of the power of story-telling in cross-cultural evangelism.
