The task of translating and communicating God's word in every language and dialect in the world is essentially a spiritual task.
Even in the practical aspects of travel, finding language helpers, preparing and translating scripts, recording the messages, editing the recordings and then distributing them we face spiritual opposition. But the real spiritual battle takes place when a person in the kingdom of darkness listens to the words of truth and life. The Devil, the enemy of Christ, does not release his captives easily.
For these reasons GRN needs the prayers of God's people.
So, in the words of Paul: "I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me" (Romans 15:30).
Our prayer guide is called 'Rejoice' because in all the ups and downs of missionary work, and indeed life itself, we want to encourage you to "rejoice in the Lord" (Philippians 4:4). This was a lesson our founder, Joy Ridderhof, burned indelibly into the mission in its early years. It's a lesson we don't want to forget.
At first you might not know all the people and places mentioned in 'Rejoice'. Please feel free to call or write to us if you have any questions. Also, be assured that God knows all about the situations mentioned, so you can still pray!
An alternative way to receive these prayer points is via our prayer app. This is a great way to pray as it notifies you of the daily prayer request on the days and times that you would like to pray for us. We also record in the app answers to prayer as they are received, so you can 'Rejoice' with us as you see your prayers answered.
To see a video of the prayer app in action and to find the best place to download it - go to globalrecordings.net/en/prayerapp.

May God bless, encourage and strengthen you as you join us in the spiritual struggle.
